Yokohama Surfing Cafe is opening soon at the Level 2-Space 100 Robinson’s Place Manila. It is a lifestyle cafe
featuring the beach and surfing culture as a way of life, just like in Hawaii and California. The group has already
established (in 1997) the Yokohama Surfing School in the Philippines. This is the first of its kind in the country
and the response has been tremendous. The students and graduates have been looking for a place to meet and
"hangout", hence the "Surfing Cafe".
The Cafe will be a haven for surfing enthusiasts, sun worshippers and beach habituates aside from a walk-in cafe.
In addition to food and drinks, the cafe will be engaged in the sales and promotion of surfing equipment’s,
accessories, garments and memorabilia’s. Carrying top brands like Rusty surfboards, Hobie, Hawaiian Style and
many more. The motif will be "Tropical Beach" and the cafe will feature several monitors showing the latest, as
well as the classic surfing videos. The music will be beach oriented such as the songs of the Beach Boys, Jan &
Dean, and many more. The concept of the "Surfing Cafe" is like that of the world famous Trader Vic’s in the USA,
surfing cafe’s like Duke’s of Hawaii and the Longboard Cafe of California.
